Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment to Accessibility

We Can Work Africa is committed to making wecanworkafrica.org accessible to all users, including persons with disabilities and those who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnification software, text-to-speech tools, and keyboard-only navigation.

Accessibility is a core part of our mission. This website has been designed in an African context with a global reach and uses disability-inclusive language aligned with the preferences of Organisations of Persons with Disabilities in the countries where we work.

Standards and Guidelines

Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, following internationally recognised best practices for accessible digital content. Some ongoing processes and testing are currently aligned with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and these are being updated as part of continuous improvement.

Audits, Testing, and Partnerships

To guide and strengthen our accessibility efforts, we have partnered with Accessible Web, a team of digital accessibility experts, and collaborated with Kufundisha Tecknologia Consultants (KTC) to audit this website for accessibility compliance.

We use a combination of automated and manual testing methods, including:

  • RAMP automated accessibility scanning

  • Accessibility Checker

  • Color contrast analysis

  • Keyboard-only navigation testing

  • Screen reader compatibility checks

  • Readability assessments

Accessibility is an ongoing process, and all new pages, features, and content are reviewed against accessibility standards.
